HUSAIN KARADI ,Born in 1952 in Karadi-Thamarassery. A noted play writer, Husain Karadi made use of drama as a medium to communicate his disenhandment with the evil practices that prevailed in the society on caste/communal lines. Besides direction and script writing, he used to done the robe of an actor too in his plays. Some of his plays were made into Radio programme and had won awards of BaharainArts Centre. ‘Athinumappuram’, ‘Nakshatrangaludey Pranamam’, ‘Karimukilintey Sangeetham’ are some of his works.

Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil
It was on 16th December 1959 Inchananiyil C.A Paul and Rosamma migrated to Vettilappara village in Malappuram District from Kuninji in Kottayam Disrict. On 26th July 1961 Bishop Remigiose Inchananiyil born as their sixth child. He was baptized on the seventh day of his birth in Thottumukkom parish by Mon. Thomas Pazhaeparambil the Vicar General of Thalassery Diocese. Bishop Remigiose has six brothers and one sister.
His primary education was in Vettilappara Government L.P scholl and Moorkanad U. P School. He completed his High School studies in Areekkadperumparambu Govt. High school which is 14 Km. away from his house.
Bp Remigiose joined the minor seminary at Thalassery after his high school studies and completed his priestly studies in St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary Vadavathoor. He was ordained as a priest on 26th December 1987 by His Lordship late Mar Sebastian Mankuzhykkary, the first bishop of Thamarassery. He served as vicar in parishes like Valayam, Thalayad, Theyyappara and Karingadu. He took his Masters degree in canon law from St. Peters College Bangalore and PhD from the Holy Cross University in Rome. Bp. Remigiose has also Masters Degree in English Literature. He also served as Vice- Rector in St. Alphonsa minor seminary Thamarassery, Ast. Judicial vicar, Judicial vicar, Secretary to the Bishop, Member of the Advisory Committee, Pastoral council secretary and Chancellor of the diocese. Bishop Remigiose was also visiting professor in Sanathana Major Seminary Thamarassery and Good Shepherd Major Seminary in Kunnoth. He is nominated as the Fourth bishop of Thamarassery on 18 January 2010 by His Beatitude Cardninal Mar Varkey Vithayathil the Major Archbishop of Syro Malabar Church and Consecrated on 8th April 2010 |

MAR PAUL CHITTILAPILLY
Mar Paul Chittilapilly was born to Chummar and Kunjai at Mattam in the diocese of Trichur on February 7,1934. He did his school studies at St. Francis High School Mattam. Having passed intermediate from S.H. College, Thevara, in 1953, he joined at St. Mary’sMinor Seminary, Trichur. He did his studies in philosophy at St. Joseph’s Pontifical seminary,Alwaye.He was then sent for theological studies to the Pontifical Urban university, Rome (1958-1962) from where he secured licentiate in theology.
He was ordained priest for the diocese of Trichure on October 18, 1961 in Rome by Mar Mathew Kavukatt, the then Archbishop of Changanassery. He continued his studies in Lateran University, Rome and took doctorate in Canon Law in 1966. During the period from 1962 to 1966, he also served as father prefect to the Malabar Community in San Josephat College, Rome.
Back in the diocese he was first appointed assistant parish priest at Aloor and Vellanchira. From 1967 to 1971, he was professor of Theology and Canon Law at St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Kottayam. From 1971 to 1980, he was the chancellor of the diocese of Trichur. In 1978, he was appointed Vicar General and Judicial Vicar. At the same time he served also as manager of St. Thomas College. In 1987, he was appointed chaplain to Syro-Malabar Catholics and general director of K.C.A. in Bombay.
On April 30, 1988, he Was nominated Bishop at Kalyan and was ordained Bishop of August 24, 1988 by Antony Cardinal Padiyara. On November 11, 1996 he was appointed Bishop of Thamarassery and took charge of his office on February 13, 1997. At present he is a member of the permenent Synod , SMS chairman for the commision of Particular Laws, member of the Superior Tribunal of Syro-Malabar Synod. Under KCBC he is the chairman of the commission for Family, Laity and Women. In 2010, Mar Remigios Injananiyil was appointed as the new bishop of thamarassery.

P.CYRIAC JOHN
P. Cyriac John, he was belonged to Pala Kottayam, and migrated to Kattippara in 1951 in his 20 years. He was Kochettan for Thamarassery. He became 1st MLA of Thiruvambady Assembly Constituency in 1977 and also Agriculture Minister in the Ministry of K. Karunakaran in 1982. His contribution to malayoram is Rural District Treasury DYSP Office, Labor Office, Agricultural Assistant Director Office, Tribal Office, Govt. College Kodenchary
